Normal price: book for everyone in your party who is 13 years or older.

Note: This discount scheme is made possible by ASML, but you do not have to be an ASML employee to qualify for the discount. All children up to and including 12 years of age may benefit from this scheme.

E-tickets / Paper tickets / Schalm App

When ordering, you have the choice between e-tickets and paper tickets. E-tickets are admission tickets that are sent to you by e-mail, printed at home and then taken to the performance. You can also scan the tickets on your phone. If you prefer, you can opt for paper tickets. These can be bought at the box office or sent to your home address. In the latter case, you pay €2.50 postage.

Schalm App:
We have a personalised app. In this app, you have all your tickets at hand and in one place. The app can be downloaded from the Appstore and Google Playstore.

For more information about the app, visit this page

Are there extra charges when I buy theatre tickets?

All service charges are included in the ticket price unless otherwise stated. You only pay shipping costs (€2.50) if you want to receive the tickets by post.

Choosing a seat

You can choose your own seats for almost all performances. In the ordering process, after choosing your performance, click on ‘tickets’, on ‘next step’ and then you can choose between ‘automatic seating’ or ‘choose your own seats’. You click on the seat(s) of your choice yourself in the seating plan. You cannot leave individual seats in the seating plan, in which case you will automatically receive a message telling you to contact us. This is set up to avoid having a lot of loose seats in the hall that are difficult to sell.

Seat numbers

In terms of seat numbers, our Grote Zaal is divided into even and odd numbers. Each row starts with odd numbers on the right (1, 3, 5, etc.) and even numbers on the left (2, 4, 6, etc.).
In the Lindenzaal, the seat numbers increase (1, 2, 3, etc.).

Show with standing places

For a limited number of performances, the auditorium grandstand is retracted, creating standing places.
You will find this online and in the brochure under the relevant performances.

If the balcony in the Grote Zaal does not open, this means that you can stand alone at this performance. If the balcony does open, you can use a seat there. This will then be clearly indicated at that performance.

When the grandstand in the Lindenzaal is retracted, all seats are cancelled.

End time show

You will see the end times of theatre performances on our website as soon as they are known, and when entering the theatre, on the evening itself. It is also in the info mail De Schalm sends out a few days before the theatre performance (if we have your e-mail address). Of course, you can always contact the Theatre Box Office about this too.

Sold out shows - waiting list

The moment a performance is sold out, you can register yourself for the waiting list. You can indicate this at the performance on the website. If seats become available, we will contact you by telephone (we do not leave a voicemail or send an e-mail). So please give us the phone number where you can best be reached. If you do not hear from us, there are unfortunately no more tickets available for this performance.

Show cancelled

The programme is subject to change. If a performance is cancelled on content or financial grounds and in consultation with the performing party, we will inform you as soon as possible. In that case, the purchase price of the tickets will be refunded (excluding postage).

There will be no refund if the performance is cancelled for reasons beyond the theatre's control. For example, if unforeseen government measures prevent the performance from taking place.

You are unable to attend / You want to cancel your tickets

You can return your tickets up to 24 hours before the performance*. Rebook them for another performance, or opt for a voucher (minus €2.50 cancellation fee per order). The voucher is valid indefinitely.
You cannot cancel your tickets yourself online. Please contact us at reserveringen@deschalm.com or during the opening hours of the theatre box office (Mon to Thu 11.00-14.00, 040-2533578).

For tickets bought through other sales channels, their rules apply.

We do not take back tickets within 24 hours before the performance. If you can't find anyone who wants to take the tickets from you, you can also safely resell your tickets via TicketSwap. Their rules apply, De Schalm is not responsible for this.

*Returns or refunds on tickets already bought from series are not possible.

I lost my tickets

In case of missing tickets, duplicate tickets can be provided. If you come to the box office on the day of the performance, you will - on presentation of a valid ID - receive duplicate tickets.

Resale

There are many dubious websites that buy up and resell tickets on a large scale without the artist's permission. And you are the victim: you pay much more than the original price. So never do it!

Do I need a ticket for my toddler?

Yes. Everyone attending a performance needs a ticket. You can feel free to take toddlers or preschoolers on your lap, but they also always have their own seat.
