Bertolf's love for music started with bluegrass. His father almost only played bluegrass, and their home was filled with guitars, mandolins, and banjos. Not long ago, the singer-songwriter and guitarist traveled to Nashville to finally make an old dream come true: recording an album with his musical heroes, musicians he has been listening to his whole life.

Including dobro virtuoso Jerry Douglas, violin virtuoso Stuart Duncan, and bass legend Mark Schatz. 'Bluefinger' is the title of Bertolf's latest album. In the corresponding theater program, he presents his new work, and plays the best songs and hits from previous albums. All in fully acoustic bluegrass versions played by the top of the Dutch bluegrass scene. Bertolf also talks about the history of bluegrass and performs some gems from the illustrious bluegrass repertoire.
