Exciting Veldhoven

Exciting Veldhoven consists of a number of free events and workshops throughout the year, eventually working towards a larger annual one-day festival with numerous performances and activities in the theatre and on the Meiveld. 

Including (also free to attend) workshops and performances that emphasise Veldhoven's international character, Exciting Veldhoven will be a unique and appealing festival with a series of fun events for a broad target group, from young to old. In the run-up to this, there will already be several smaller ‘Exciting Veldhoven’ events next season: 

Cityfest
On 27, 28 and 29 September 2024, Cityfest will take place in Veldhoven. CityFest is a freely accessible annual Veldhoven festival. It is a weekend full of culture, music, food, drinks, in which many Veldhoven institutions participate. 

Exciting Veldhoven will be present during Cityfest with a dance workshop and a salsa event. 

Smelt op ‘t Veld
A ‘feel good’ event for the whole family is planned between Christmas and New Year. This will take place on Sunday 29 December from 3pm, on the Meiveld (square in front of De Schalm). A broad programme with music and activities for young and old, food trucks and more! Keep an eye on this website for updates.  

May 2025
On Saturday 10 May 2025, Exciting Veldhoven organises a day festival. Between 13.00 and 23.00, various activities will take place in Theatre de Schalm and on the Meiveld.  

All the above events are free of charge.
As soon as more information is known, it will be added to this page.
